Copyright is the protection of intellectual property or creative works. Copyright comes into play when someone creates something intellectual or creative and gives the creator exclusive rights to the work. It stops other people from using a creator's work and saying it's theirs. If someone wishes to use the work they must give credit or possibly pay a fee to the creator. This can be written, audio, or audiovisual works. Fair use was a part of the guidelines for copyright established in 1976. Fair use allows the copy of materials for educational purposes within reason. This depends on how the work is used, how much of the work is used, and what impact the usage will have on the work's values. If I were a teacher, I would have to deal with these subjects a lot since I would have to use materials to teach my classes from the internet or textbooks and my students might need to use other materials for research. As a teacher, I would make sure I understand copyright laws and I would also make sure my students understand the basics of the copyright laws. I would make sure I always purchase materials needed and also give credit to the creators in my lessons and I would make sure my students know to give credit and properly cite their work.

Cyberbullying is bullying that occurs online and through forms of social media. This often occurs when the aggressor is behind a screen and feels that their words do not have an impact or feel that they won't get caught. Cyberbullying has become a large problem with the increased use of social media in schools and can directly impact a child's life. It is important that teachers are monitoring the students' use of technology in the classroom and also create a safe space for students so that they feel comfortable coming to the teacher for help. Teachers can do a lesson on cyberbullying and explain how it can impact people's lives and how there will be consequences. This may help prevent students from doing it and realize they will have consequences for their actions. Teachers can also do their best to watch what students are doing online when students are using technology in the classroom. Finally, teachers should always encourage students to come to them and create a comfortable space for students. Another issue that may arise with technology implementation is academic dishonesty. This may happen when a student submits work that isn't there or uses online websites to cheat on their work. Teachers could help prevent this, but explaining the repercussions of the student's actions if they are academically dishonest. Teachers can also provide technical resources that are helpful and the students are actually allowed to use them on assignments. This may stop students from being dishonest since they have lots of resources. Finally, teachers could use programs like Honorlock and turnitin.com to stop students from being dishonest.

Overall, I did a solid job on the Newsletter. I definitely could have improved on making it more appealing and engaging. This could be done by adding more creative elements like fun word art and graphics. Overall, next time I could work on making the newsletter more cohesive. Some of the new skills I learned doing this assignment were how to use the column function in word and also how to use the word art and text box features. I always forget I have those options, so those will definitely be helpful in the future. I also learned how to use a dotted line to create the permission slip. These skills can be used in my future career as a Speech-Language Pathologist because I will be creating tons of reports and even newsletters to send to patients. It will be helpful to learn how to use the different features in Word to create engaging documents.
