Blog Journal 6
Blog Journal #6
I will be honest, when I first used Diigo I was a little confused. I was unsure how to navigate the site and use the tools. Once I got the hang of it and added the extension to my chrome browser it was a very useful tool. I thought that it was a cool way to annotate online sources and keep track of my thoughts. Especially when I am doing some kind of online research and am reading through many scientific articles, it can be hard to understand what I am reading. The annotation tool made it easier for me to understand the online sources. I also enjoyed that I could share or keep my annotations private. This makes it a useful tool for individual work and for group work because it allows the creator to share their thoughts.
So far I think I have had a positive experience with blogging. It is a nice way for me to get my thoughts onto paper and also recap what I have learned each week in EME 2040. I also like that while people can provide feedback, I feel like blogging is a could way to express your opinion without direct and immediate input from others. It also allows the writer to write about things they enjoy or are passionate about and is a really good creative outlet. One thing I don't enjoy about blogging and something I need to work on is that I'm not good at making the blog look nice and creative. This is something I need to improve on.
One interesting Web 2.0 tool is Prezi. This is a website that allows you to put together information and share it with others who are interested in learning. This can be used in my future classroom because it can allow me to create slideshows that are interesting and interactive to teach the students or have as a study guide. Overall this site is a really great resource because it allows the creator to use their own ideas and display them creatively. There are different layouts and art that can be used. It is also great because it can be shared easily. This can allow people to access information easily.
